A Ziegenfelder Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for: · Hold and Release inventory management- Ensure all product is put on hold, does not get allocated, and analyze paperwork to ensure no hold and release product ships – all locations. · Ensure all documentation up to and including SQF, carrier equipment report, and bills of lading are accurate and completed correctly. · Conducting and recording regular physical counts to verify inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies. o Raw Material audits, finished goods audits, hold and release audits · Identifying areas for improvement in inventory management practice, such as streamline processes, reducing errors, and improving accuracy. · Investigating discrepancies, addressing inventory issues, and taking corrective actions to prevent future problems. · Generating reports on inventory audits, holding and release audits, and performance, providing insights to management. · Responsible for reporting and auditing Chep transactions throughout our shipping network. · May be involved in receiving, storing, and shipping if needed. · Collaborating with other departments, such as purchasing, freezer/shipping, quality, and production to ensure smooth inventory flow. · Communicating with suppliers, carriers, logistics, and other departments to ensure smooth operations. · Maintaining raw materials and frozen goods item creation in ERP (Enterprise resource planning) system. · Maintaining frozen goods item specifications in ERP (Enterprise resource planning) system. · Entering information into databases, spreadsheets, or other electronic systems. · Checking entered data for accuracy and completeness, comparing it with source documents. · Setting up and allocating orders for the Wheeling freezer team. · Ensure all documentation up to and including SQF and carrier equipment report is accurate and completed in a timely manner. · Leads and becomes subject matter expert for Warehouse Management Systems for all locations. · Communicate and work towards any department set goals and KPI’s. · Develop and maintain good relationships with all departments of the facility.
