About The Position
Inventory Control Specialist – Manufacturing | Silgan Closures – Tolleson, AZ Grow your career with Silgan Closures, a Fortune 500 global company in sustainable packaging. We are hiring an experienced Inventory Control Specialist at our Tolleson, AZ manufacturing facility. In this full-time role, you will manage raw material and finished goods inventory, support warehouse and production operations. Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of inventory control experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with manufacturing inventory system data base, ProTraQ, E1, required
- Advanced Excel skills; ability to manage spreadsheets and reports
- Detail-oriented, organized, able to multi-task with strong communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Accounting knowledge a plus, including invoices, BOM and manufacturing processes etc.
- Associate’s degree in a related field preferred or equivalent experience
Responsibilities
- Track and manage raw materials and finished good inventory daily to align with production schedules
- Conduct monthly raw inventory counts and assist in quarterly finished goods audits
- Communicate daily with the Supply Chain Manager regarding resin, color, labels, foam, foil, and other critical materials
- Purchase and manage inventory for resin, color, labels, boxes, pallets, foil, and other plant materials
- Forecast resin supply for at least three months and manage silo/railcar scheduling
- Maintain accurate Excel spreadsheets and inventory databases including ProTraQ, E1
- Assist warehouse, customer service, quality, scheduling, and shipping teams to ensure efficient operations
