This role will be based in Williamson, NY and will support 3rd shift operations (Monday-Friday 11PM-7:30AM). This Inventory Control Specialist maintains accurate and traceable inventory of all raw materials and finished product and acts as the shift point person for inventory related questions. This position is responsible for generating ideas and assisting in the implementation of initiatives to improve quality and delivery, and maintain a high quality, clean and efficient work environment that meets all customer requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent plus one year of experience in an inventory/shipping and receiving type environment and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel skills
  • Proficiency in SAP transactions.
  • Prior bar code experience required.
  • Prior forklift experience in warehouse/manufacturing setting
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, rates and ratios.
  • Due to SQF regulations, all employees must be able to fluently read, write, and converse in the English language.

Responsibilities

  • Process order folders, transfer orders, and scan sheets are prepared in time to support production.
  • Process orders are reconciled within 24 hours of completion, making all inventory adjustments necessary to provide accurate & traceable inventory.
  • Document and begin root cause analysis of all inventory discrepancies found during the process order reconciliation procedure.
  • Perform necessary number of cycle counts to comply with monthly requirements as defined by the Internal Auditor.
  • Perform necessary trace drills as required.
  • Support IC Supervisor with all process improvement activities.
  • Act as lead support for finance personnel during physical inventories.
  • Process all R&D, QA, and Sensory sample requests.
  • Provides IC Forklift Drivers with appropriate job folders containing scan sheets and material transfer orders.
  • Provides IC Forklift Drivers with guidance and priorities.
  • Provides Production with requested inventory information.
  • Provides Production with process order material usage report at the completion of each job for batch verification and variance investigation.
  • Verifies all fruit thaw and salvage movements as outlined in current flowcharts and communicate with production.
