About The Position

The Inventory & Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of inventory and quality control associates to ensure accurate inventory records, efficient warehouse space utilization, and compliance with operational standards. This role combines daily operational oversight, audit execution, and cross-functional collaboration to drive continuous improvement and maintain a safe, organized, and high-performing warehouse environment. Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory management, cycle counting, and warehouse operations.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisor role
  • Proficiency in WMS systems (Oracle preferred) and material handling equipment
  • Minimum of Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to analyze data, solve discrepancies, and communicate findings effectively.
  • Experience collaborating across departments and driving team development.
  • Ability to regularly stand, bend, reach, climb and move around the warehouse.
  • Experience operating a forklift or ability to learn

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team responsible for cycle counts, inventory accuracy, and quality control.
  • Conduct daily briefings, assign tasks, and monitor team performance.
  • Hold team members accountable to company policies, safety standards, and performance expectations.
  • Operate and train others on material handling equipment; oversee equipment-related incident reporting.
  • Report any concerns found during the day to the leadership team.
  • Supervise daily inventory operations including cycle counts, inventory adjustments, and alias resolution.
  • Approve inventory adjustments within defined thresholds and document rationale.
  • Monitor and report on KPIs including Inventory Record Accuracy (IRA), Material Handling Accuracy (MHA), and WMS Efficiency on a daily, weekly and/or monthly basis.
  • Conduct regular reviews of aged, obsolete, and liquidation inventory with defined thresholds.
  • Coordinate destruction and reporting of obsolete, closeout and liquidation inventory.
  • Audit material handling tasks from the previous day (RTS/RCV Put-Aways, IR’s, replenishments, etc).
  • Audit defined percentages of specific order types (DTR, DTS, Grocery, Fiesta, etc.).
  • Perform additional audits as requested, including RTS receipts and off-site storage checks.
  • Analyze audit data and share findings in daily meetings and weekly reports.
  • Oversee space planning across Bulk, Reserve, Pick, and Staging areas.
  • Consolidate partial pallets and relocate inventory using LPN standards and system tools.
  • Build INNER cases from EACH locations to maintain stock organization.
  • Ensure compliance with LPN standards and optimize location usage.
  • Ensure team members are trained and certified on equipment and counting tools.
  • Create, implement, and monitor safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Create, implement, and monitor proper material handling guidelines.
  • Partner with Inventory Planning & Replenishment, Distribution Center teams, Accounting, and Sales to resolve inventory issues and support business needs.
  • Coordinate liquidation quantities and manage drop ship/vendor-shipped purchase orders.
  • Facilitate third-party audits and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
