About The Position

Boater’s World Marine Centers in Grand Prairie, TX is seeking an Inventory Management Specialist to join our growing dealership team. This role plays an important part in keeping our operations running smoothly by managing inventory listings, maintaining accurate records in Lightspeed, supporting website unit listings, and assisting multiple departments across the dealership. Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate inventory records and website listings
  • Comfortable using computers for data entry and basic systems such as Lightspeed (Dealer Management System) and website inventory platforms
  • Ability to take clear photographs of boats, motors, and units for online listings
  • Organized and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced dealership environment
  • Good communication skills when working with Sales, Service, Parts, and Management teams
  • Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors around boats and yard operations
  • Ability to lift and move parts or equipment when assisting with receiving or inventory tasks

Nice To Haves

  • Previous inventory, administrative, dealership, or marine-related experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Capture high-quality photographs of major units for online listings and marketing purposes
  • Create, update, and maintain website listings for boats, motors, repowers, and packaged units
  • Ensure accurate specifications, pricing, photos, and descriptions flow correctly from Lightspeed (Dealer Management System) to the dealership website
  • Build and maintain boat packages and repower engine listings to support sales accuracy
  • Communicate any data discrepancies, listing errors, or unit damages to management promptly
  • Utilize the barcode labeling system to tag major units and coordinate monthly inventory scans with Service and Yard teams
  • Assist the Director of Operations with monthly and annual inventory audits
  • Support the development and maintenance of reporting systems for real-time inventory tracking
  • Provide accurate inventory visibility to support the Sales and Management teams
  • Coordinate with the Administrative team to resolve past-due inbound inventory not yet created in Lightspeed
  • Manage the rebate program established by the VP of Sales and Finance and ensure accurate updates across DealerSpike listings
  • Receive parts into Lightspeed and properly allocate them to open Repair Orders (ROs)
  • Distribute received parts to assigned RO bins and stock inventory in the correct bin locations
  • Perform cycle counts to maintain parts inventory accuracy
  • Support Parts & Accessories sales as part of the overall customer purchase experience
  • Assist with handoffs from Sales or Finance to support customer accessory and parts purchases following a unit sale
  • Conduct Parts & Accessories walkthroughs with customers and transition them to the Parts Counter team when additional assistance is needed
