About The Position

Responsible for performing the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods, rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary. Holds ability to handle items (up to 45 lbs.) utilizing proper lifting techniques and material handling aids (e.g. pallet jacks, height adjustable carts, etc.) and may operate a forklift upon receipt of internal certification. Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped. Examines, stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines. Knowledge of safe material handling practices and ability to maintain compliance with Harris specific Environment Health and Safety policy/procedure in regards to material handling.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
  • Ability to obtain US Government security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a warehouse and/or production environment
  • Holds active CDL Class A/B license with Hazmat experience.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Forklift Experience
  • Familiar with MS Office applications, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy
  • Experience with MRP and Agile/PDM software tools
  • Organizational skills
  • Experience with DOD property accountability
  • Holds active CDL Class A/B license
