The corporate IT department is currently recruiting an Inventory Management System Implementation Support Analyst for a twelve-month contract engagement with the potential for extension or full time employment and the end of the term . What You Will Do: The Inventory Management Systems Implementation Support Analyst will be part of a team rolling out a new JDE-based inventory management system (IMS) across West Fraser’s North American divisions. This role is responsible for executing pre-deployment plans and on-site transition activities in a timely manner to ensure smooth transitions to the new IMS. Reporting to the IT Tagging Team Lead, this position is focused on the implementation of the IMS for finished goods production and shipping processes. Working closely with local mill operations teams and various technology teams, this role will be part of a small technology team that travels to mill locations to assist with system implementations supported by a larger remote technology team. On-site implementation including participating in both planning, execution and follow up support tasks associated with the IMS project. Perform day-to-day implementation activities across IT, operations, supply chain, and vendor teams. Participate in regular project management meeting to provide updates on project milestones, deliverables, and any issues encountered. Assist with system configuration, data migration, testing, and go-live preparation. Support training sessions and user onboarding activities. Maintain documentation and ensure adherence to change control processes. Monitor task progress and escalate issues or delays to project leadership. Support barcode scanning mobile inventory tracking tools. Conduct system testing, validation, and troubleshooting during and after deployment. Ensure system security, data integrity, and compliance with IT governance policies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in IT systems analysis or implementation, preferably in a manufacturing or inventory-heavy environment.
  • Hands-on experience with inventory management systems and ERP platforms.
  • Strong hands-on technical skills.
  • Proficiency with warehouse technologies such as barcode scanners, label printers, and mobile devices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in stressful situations.
  • Adaptability in fast-paced, evolving environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the wood products or building materials industry.
  • Experience with JD Edwards
