About The Position

Purpose: Westrafo America is a new manufacturing facility specializing in the production of electrical transformers. We are building a high-performing team focused on safety, quality, and operational excellence. As we launch and grow our operations, we are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Inventory Specialist to support materials control and ensure accurate inventory management across our facility. The Inventory Specialist is responsible for supporting inventory accuracy, material movement, and inventory control processes within a manufacturing environment. This role will work closely with production, purchasing, and warehouse teams to ensure materials are properly received, stored, issued, and tracked to support production.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of inventory, warehouse, or materials experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with data entry and inventory records.
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, email, and inventory systems).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to operate or learn material handling equipment safely (pallet jacks, forklifts).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment with BOMs, work orders, and production staging.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP).
  • Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Experience with cycle counting programs and inventory reconciliation.
  • Knowledge of transformer manufacturing materials (copper, steel core laminations, insulation, hardware, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Receive, verify, and process incoming materials, parts, and supplies (including transformer components).
  • Perform inventory transactions in ERP system (receipts, issues, transfers, cycle counts).
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure inventory locations are organized and labeled.
  • Conduct routine cycle counts and assist with physical inventories; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support material staging and kitting for production orders to ensure materials are available when needed.
  • Coordinate material movement between warehouse, production areas, and shipping/receiving.
  • Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements for inventory control and warehouse efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, housekeeping (5S), and quality procedures.
  • Support shipping/receiving documentation, packing lists, and labeling requirements as needed.
  • Must be able to operate a forklift.
