About The Position

The Investment Accountant will be responsible for accounting and reporting functions, focusing on capital calls, distributions, waterfall calculations, and preparing entity-level financial statements. This role ensures compliance with fund agreements and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to clearly explain complex financial data.
• Experience with an industry-standard Investment Accounting System (e.g., Investran, Geneva) is required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in real estate investment accounting.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in accounting, investment accounting, finance, or administration.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of U.S. investment laws is a plus.
• Understanding of GAAP/IFRS principles related to investment valuation and reporting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cash calls and distributions using the investment accounting module.
• Create cash call and distribution notices.
• Reconcile capital balances between the investment accounting module and the general ledger (GL).
• Record journal entries and prepare financial statements for investment entities.
• Process monthly profit and loss rollups in the investment accounting module.
• Maintain entity-level waterfall models for promote calculations.
