About The Position

The Opportunity. We're excited to add an Investment Analyst to our growing investments team! Reporting to the VP, Investments, you'll play a key role in evaluating, executing, and managing the financial and commercial aspects of Elementl Power's portfolio as we scale our advanced nuclear and clean energy infrastructure business. We're looking for someone with strong analytical instincts, advanced financial modeling skills, and a genuine passion for the energy transition. You know how to navigate complex capital structures and project finance transactions, and how to turn detailed analysis into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership. You'll contribute directly to capital raising efforts, diligence processes, and day-to-day investment operations, partnering closely with development, finance, legal, and external capital partners to advance Elementl's clean energy mission.

Requirements

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • You bring 2 to 4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, project finance, infrastructure investing, or a comparable analytical role.
  • You have hands-on experience with: Complex financial modeling, including NPV, IRR, debt sizing, and tax equity structures
  • Transaction support, including investment memo preparation and diligence coordination
  • Capital raising processes and marketing material development
  • Portfolio monitoring and performance reporting
  • You're an advanced Excel modeler who can build from scratch and manage complex models with ease, and you bring strong PowerPoint skills for investment committee and counterparty presentations.
  • Most importantly, you're a detail-oriented, intellectually curious collaborator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can communicate complex ideas simply and clearly.

Nice To Haves

  • You have experience with energy or infrastructure transactions, including renewables, nuclear, or power generation.
  • You're familiar with tax equity structures and clean energy financing mechanisms.
  • You hold an MBA or advanced degree.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain sophisticated Excel models to evaluate investment opportunities, including project returns, NPV, IRR, debt sizing, tax equity structures, and PPA pricing.
  • Assess capital structures across nuclear, renewables, and broader energy infrastructure assets.
  • Conduct counterparty credit analysis and risk assessments to support investment decisions.
  • Track energy market transactions to identify trends in pricing, deal structures, and best practices.
  • Support transaction execution, including drafting investment memos and preparing supporting analysis for internal approval.
  • Develop marketing materials and data packages for capital raising, debt, and tax equity processes.
  • Manage data rooms and coordinate diligence with capital partners, lenders, and advisors.
  • Track and report on the financial and operational performance of portfolio investments.
  • Maintain investment dashboards to provide leadership with timely, accurate data.
  • Support budgeting, investor reporting, and tax and accounting activities.
  • Stay current on energy market developments, regulatory changes, and technology advancements relevant to Elementl's strategy.
  • Monitor nuclear-specific developments, including advanced reactor technologies, SMRs, and evolving regulatory frameworks (e.g., DOE 10 CFR 810, NRC regulations).
  • Synthesize sector trends into insights that inform investment decisions and strategic planning.
  • Partner with development, finance, and legal teams on project financing and investment execution.
  • Prepare materials for board meetings, investor updates, and senior leadership presentations.
