As an Associate in Investment Banking Coverage, you will build on the foundational skills developed as an Analyst, with increased responsibilities in project management and client interaction. Associates continue to participate in structured training while taking a more active role in deal execution and mentoring junior staff. Provides support to senior bankers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent degree and/or equivalent work experience, in Finance, Business, or a related field.
• 3+ year of experience with a Bachelor's degree or 1+ years with a MBA in Energy Investment Banking.
• Demonstrated knowledge of corporate finance and investment banking products, with a preference to experience in Energy.
• Expert knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint with advanced financial modeling skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Team player and self-starter.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree or MBA (Preferred).
• Established work history or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education.
• Experience in Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Develop client presentation materials, including all background research, analysis and drafting.
• Familiarity with financial models and other financial analysis.
• Performing detailed valuation analysis, including discounted cash flow, trading comparables, transaction comparables and LBO analysis.
• Support product partners and monitor entire execution process for transactions ensuring timely execution to meet client expectations.
• Adheres to compliance procedures and internal/operational risk controls in accordance with any and all applicable regulatory standards, requirements and policies.
