Markets provides solutions to clients with the means to manage their exposure through various derivatives, lending and cash products across Structured Products Group, Macro, Equities, Municipal Products Group, Credit Sales & Trading. About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking an Analyst to join their Structured Products Group (SPG) Banking function. SPG Banking provides structured lending solutions and securitization/capital markets execution across three major product verticals - Asset-Backed Securitization (ABS), Corporate Debt Finance (CDF), and Mortgage Finance Group (MFG). This is for a 1st year analyst role in our Early Careers Program. In this role, you will: Assist in the marketing, origination, execution and portfolio management of lending facilities and capital markets transactions Work as part of a client coverage team in creating marketing materials for securitizations and handling investor requests Develop rating agency correspondence, term sheets, underwriting memos, as well as examining legal documentation Support senior bankers on the deal team, through active involvement in all aspects of the deal origination and execution process Closely partner with various constituencies across Wells Fargo, including Credit Risk, Sales and Trading, Syndicate, Investment Banking Coverage, Corporate Banking Coverage, DCM, Leveraged Finance, Compliance, and Legal

Requirements

  • 6+ months of Investment Banking Program experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
  • Registration for FINRA Series 79 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
  • Registration for Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
  • This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check.
  • Internal transfers are subject to comply with 17 CFR 240.17f-2 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and FINRA Bylaws, Article III, Section 3, which states that Associated Persons should not be subject to statutory disqualification.
  • Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and are required to report certain incidents.

Nice To Haves

  • 6+ months prior Investment Banking or Analyst Training Program experience, prior experience in structured products and/or capital markets through work experience/internships, training, or education a plus
  • Prior experience in or related to securitization is a plus
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Dedication to building a career in the financial services industry
