About The Position

Ohel is seeking an experienced IOP Coordinator to lead an Intensive Outpatient Program for women, grounded in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and integrative wellness approaches. This role includes establishing and leading a DBT-informed Parent Support Program for caregivers of youth and young adults with suicide risk, self-harm, and high-acuity emotional or behavioral needs. This program will provide parents with a structured space to build skills, process emotions, and strengthen their capacity to support their children.

Requirements

  • Valid license (MSW, LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, MHC, LMFT, MFT, Psychologist)
  • 5 years of clinical experience, including work with high-acuity populations
  • DBT experience required (intensive training strongly preferred)
  • Experience working with suicide risk, self-harm or significant emotional dysregulation
  • The ideal candidate has strong organizational and communication skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
  • Candidate must have a strong commitment to community-based, mission-driven work and the ability to work professionally and sensitively in a trauma-informed environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Candidate should have prior experience in IOP or higher level of care, experience with parents/caregivers of high-risk youth or young adults and be familiar with the CCBHC service array, quality metrics and care coordination models.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily operations and clinical flow of a late afternoon/early evening DBT-based Women’s IOP
  • Collaborate with therapists, psychiatric prescribers and case managers
  • Support suicide risk monitoring, safety planning and escalation as needed, in collaboration with the treatment team
  • Provide clinical guidance to group facilitators and support fidelity to DBT principles
  • Support the thoughtful integration of creative arts, mindfulness, and wellness-based interventions within a DBT-informed framework
  • Conduct outreach to community organizations, hospitals, schools and other referral sources to build relationships, support appropriate referrals and facilitate smooth transitions of care into and out of the IOP
  • Collaborate with intake, outpatient providers and leadership to support smooth transitions into and out of IOP
  • Create and lead DBT-informed parent groups focused on caregiver regulation, validation and skills
  • Ensure timely, accurate documentation consistent with CCBHC and NYS OMH regulations
