We are looking for an Iron Melt Operator to join our Cast Iron division. We offer a diverse array of growth opportunities within our manufacturing divisions. This position will be based at our Kohler, Wisconsin location. We specialize in manufacturing high-quality cast iron products.
Requirements
- Must be able to work in the US without restriction or sponsorship.
- Effective communication skills for manufacturing production processes.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Physical Capability: Ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation including but not limited to bending, lifting, and pushing weight.
- Screening: Successful completion of a drug screen and background check.
- Reliability: Consistent attendance and work performance.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
Nice To Haves
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 1+ year of manufacturing, industrial, or warehouse experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Use of pneumatic chipping hammer and masonry/brick saw
- Perform ladle patch/rebuild with misc. refractories, perform
- Melt baghouse bag change out
- Perform Auto-pour furnace chip/patch
- Perform Melt furnace chip/patch
- Melt furnace knockout and reline as needed
- Yard Crane, HMC and Preheat operations
- Scrap load check-in, after time duties will include slagging, charging, tapping melt furnaces as directed by Control Technician
- Fork lift certification is required, etc.
- Clean up duties will be assigned as needed by supervision.
