About The Position

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of iSeries architecture and programming concepts, with a focus on RPGLE development. This role will involve developing, maintaining, and enhancing iSeries applications to support our business operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience developing iSeries RPGLE applications.
• Experience with iSeries development tools and environments (e.g., WDSC, RDi).
• Strong understanding of iSeries architecture, including hardware, operating systems, and databases.
• Proficiency in RPGLE programming language, including CL programming and SQL.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts and practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Nice To Haves

• 10 or more years of experience as an RPG developer.
• Experience in healthcare billing or pharmacy billing.
• Experience with iSeries modernization projects, such as migrating applications to cloud platforms or using modern development methodologies.
• Experience with iSeries performance tuning and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain iSeries RPGLE applications, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Analyze existing iSeries applications to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
• Collaborate with business analysts and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve iSeries application issues in a timely manner.
• Stay updated on the latest iSeries technologies and trends.
