NATURE AND SCOPE: Reporting to the Vice President of IT Services the Applications & Data Analytics Manager (ADM) at YMCA of Metro Atlanta leads the Salesforce-focused application team and drives organization-wide application deployment and data strategy. This role blends Salesforce expertise with data analytics leadership to advance the YMCA’s mission. The ADM oversees system administration, ensures integrated planning, and champions data-driven decision-making and innovation. Key responsibilities include managing data quality, analytics, AI implementations, and establishing governance for responsible AI use. The ideal candidate combines hands-on technical skills with strategic vision, guiding application development, AI adoption, and ethical compliance to improve community impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems or computer science, or closely related
  • 6+ years industry experience of 8 or more years is desirable
  • 2+ years of direct people management experience
  • Experience with the Salesforce ecosystem and marketing cloud
  • 1+ years of experience in Sales Cloud, NPSP or Service Cloud
  • Experience with Python, R or something similar, prompt building and other data science tools
  • Workflow and process automation (Salesforce Flow and Microsoft Power Automate or similar)
  • Software vendor and consultant management
  • Microsoft Azure: Active Directory, SSO, DevOps, Power BI, SQL, asp.Net, PowerShell Scripting
  • Microsoft 365: Office, SharePoint, Teams, Forms, Flow, Automate
  • Thirst for knowledge, intellectual curiosity

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Branches, Finance, Programs, Operations, Marketing, and Fundraising teams to align application solutions with organizational goals and mission impact.
  • Translate technical plans into business value, demonstrating how Salesforce features and data insights improve retention, revenue, forecasting, and cost efficiency.
  • Engage YMCA leaders and stakeholders to understand strategies, challenges, and opportunities for technology-driven improvements.
  • Assess and optimize business systems, analytics platforms, and collaboration tools; identify opportunities for integration, retirement, or replacement.
  • Lead the requirements gathering sessions and prototype new systems or enhancements.
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings to share challenges and develop unified solutions across teams.
  • Prioritize and sequence projects and work requests; manage delivery timelines.
  • Stay current on technology trends, including AI; evaluate emerging technologies for practical application and governance within YMCA operations.
  • Research new software solutions and monitor updates to existing systems; provide recommendations to support purchasing decisions.
  • Plan, design, develop, and deploy new applications and enhancements to existing platforms.
  • Propose and build real-time dashboards and cross-departmental reports to track KPIs and inform strategic decisions.
  • Deliver scalable, flexible solutions aligned with future business direction.
  • Apply strong project management practices to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
  • Prepare RFPs and perform cost-benefit analyses to justify technology investments.
  • Create system models, specifications, diagrams, and documentation for development and operations teams.
  • Ensure robust DevOps processes and production readiness for all deployments.
  • Propose and support AI governance policies to ensure ethical, secure, and compliant use of AI technologies across the organization.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify strategic opportunities for AI adoption that align with YMCA’s mission and operational goals.
  • Communicate the business value of AI-driven insights, such as improving member engagement, donor retention, and operational efficiency.
  • Deliver assignments on time, with high quality and transparency.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and support for enterprise systems, including AI, Data Analytics, Salesforce and Marketing Cloud.
  • Stay current on AI trends and regulatory requirements, assessing feasibility and practical application for YMCA operations.
  • Respond quickly to incidents; perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with system administrators to maintain and optimize the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to architecture, security, and governance standards.
  • Ensure solutions operate reliably and are fully supportable by IT and engineering teams.
  • Reduce Help Desk and Member Support Center call volume through proactive system improvements.
  • Maintain an inventory of all YMCA applications; periodically assess technical and operational health to guide future investments
  • Demonstrate YMCA mission driven values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility and integrate into work environment and ways of work.
  • Follow organizational policies and procedures as described in YMCA’s Employee Handbook, Ethics Policy and elsewhere
