About The Position

Responsible for evaluating / analyzing the system strengths and weaknesses while defining opportunities to maximize capabilities. The Business Project Coordinator will work with key business stakeholders to understand business requirements and study the effectiveness of the system to assist in providing global solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field and 6 years’ experience in project management or similar role OR, two- year post high school diploma/ related field and 10 years’ project management experience.
  • Excellent communication skills including both presentation and written skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem resolution skills.
  • Experience working with business customers documenting business system requirements.
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience with ERP systems with proven ability to map business requirements to ERP capabilities.
  • Ability to collaborate with all levels of an organization within and across the SMC facilities.

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous IQMS experience.
  • Experience working with project management methodologies and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Defining project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with business process owners and stakeholders.
  • Work directly with internal stakeholders and vendor product experts, analyze functionality to define system requirements, design and propose solutions.
  • Assist in breaking down project objectives into manageable sub-projects/tasks for the project lead to assign resources.
  • Develop and support a project review meeting pre and post launch to ensure that the process is functioning as expected and continues to support the business needs.
  • Develop and enforce software request process to assist business users to build business cases and gain approval for new software applications.
  • Assisting in development of project closure process and evaluation of long-term IT support.
  • Assist in Business intelligence reporting platform gathering requirements and providing guidance that supports long term data architecture.
  • Assist in aligning ERP business requirements with IT strategic imperatives and roadmap.
  • Interact with leadership, functional managers, supervisors, and users representing ERP functionality, including engineering, quality, finance, manufacturing, scheduling, supply chain, customer service, warehousing, logistics and human resources.
  • Recommend, document and facilitate operational ERP improvements.
  • Facilitate standardized processes across relevant business functions and facilities. Document details of AS IS business processes and TO BE capabilities.
  • Educate business team members on best practices employed globally within the industry while leveraging company SMEs and process owners to define, deploy and ensure adoption of changes.
  • Assist in establishing and enforcing policies and procedures for data management including quality compliance, security, and data privacy.
  • Assist in educating the business in IT policies to support data integrity and security.
  • Other duties as assigned
