About The Position

Our client is seeking an experienced IT Business Systems Analyst to support a high-impact enterprise application initiative. This role combines business analysis expertise with user research and data analysis capabilities to analyze business processes and practices while focusing on the design and implementation of information technology solutions that meet customer needs and business initiatives. The ideal candidate will apply advanced analytical skills, interpret business issues, recommend best practices, and solve complex problems while taking a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, HCI, Psychology, Sociology, Data Science, Human Factors, or related field
6-10 years of experience in business analysis, IT systems analysis, and technology implementation
3+ years of user research and/or data analysis experience, preferably in enterprise or internal tools environments
Strong understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
Working proficiency in Figma for research handoff, prototyping collaboration, and design feedback
Experience with Jira or similar tools for managing requirements, tracking issues, and collaborating with development teams
Strong understanding of project management processes and principles
Experience in IT budget forecasting
Proficiency in business intelligence tools such as SAP, BOBJ, and BPC
Ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and working independently in a fast-paced environment
Self-starter who can work independently with limited day-to-day direction

Nice To Haves

Master's degree in related field
Familiarity with AI tools and willingness to experiment with new methods to improve research efficiency
Experience producing personas, journey/workflow maps, insight summaries, usability reports, and similar deliverables
Recognition as an expert in functional area within previous organizations

Responsibilities

Develop functional specifications by translating business requirements into clear and concise functional documentation
Perform testing and validation by collaborating with QA teams to define test scenarios, validate solutions against business requirements, and ensure proper functionality
Monitor and evaluate solution performance by tracking and measuring the effectiveness of implemented solutions
Develop and execute targeted research plans aligned to project objectives and enterprise application workflows
Conduct mixed-method research including stakeholder interviews, workflow analysis, contextual/field studies, surveys, heuristic evaluations, and usability testing
Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights that inform product and design decisions
Transform research findings into deliverables such as personas, workflow maps, journey maps, insight summaries, problem statements, and usability reports
Present findings to business partners, designers, and software development teams, clearly articulating implications for product direction and UI enhancements
Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, UX designers, and software development teams throughout project lifecycle
Plan and conduct usability testing to validate design concepts, prototypes, and incremental enhancements
Lead functional teams or projects as needed
