About The Position

The IT Coordinator provides essential administrative and operational support to the Technology Department. This role ensures that help desk activity, internal requests, and departmental communications are organized, tracked, and acted on promptly. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and follow-through are critical. While this is primarily an administrative position, the successful candidate must be technically inclined, curious, and capable of learning how our systems and workflows operate. This position is not a technical specialist role, however, understanding basic technical concepts is essential for effectively triaging requests and supporting the team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys administrative work within a technical environment-someone who is organized, proactive, and eager to learn, but not someone who is seeking a pure technical or engineering position.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to track multiple tasks simultaneously and follow through on outstanding items.
  • Technically inclined, with the capacity to understand technology-related requests and concepts.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new systems, terminology, and processes.
  • Proficiency with email, spreadsheets, and basic office software.
  • Reliability and a proactive approach to ensuring no requests fall through the cracks.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an administrative or operations support role (especially in a technical or IT environment).
  • Familiarity with help desk or ticketing systems.
  • Comfort with analyzing basic reports or metrics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify when issues need escalation.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and track help desk tickets to ensure timely response and resolution.
  • Maintain visibility of open items and follow up with team members and departments as needed.
  • Review and track requests submitted both through the ticketing system and via the Technology Department mailbox. Ensure no requests, issues, or updates are overlooked or delayed.
  • Prepare and deliver timely reports to Operations and other departments, including ticket summaries, activity metrics, and follow-up status.
  • Assist in coordinating departmental communications and updates.
  • Maintain organized documentation, logs, and internal records.
  • Support the VP of Technology and Technology team in administrative tasks related to scheduling, coordination, or project tracking.
  • Learn and understand basic IT terminology, processes, and workflows in order to communicate effectively with staff across the company.
  • Escalate technical issues appropriately once identified.
  • Managing access lifecycles for onboarding and offboarding of employees in multiple systems and entities, manage the roles and access, audit systems.
  • Liaise with departments in the organization for timely employee setup and access.
  • Work with Managers to order business cards and marketing materials as needed.
