QualificationsPosition Summary: Internship Program Overview - Midrex’s 2026 Summer Internship Program offers an immersive assignment to undergraduate and graduate students, enhancing their understanding of the business world through valuable, hands-on experience with a people centric organization. Midrex offers a 20-40 hour per week, paid internship that begins with an orientation in May and concludes in early August. Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A Duties/Responsibilities: This internship offers hands-on experience in key areas of cybersecurity including security awareness, incident response, audit and compliance. You’ll work closely with experienced professionals to help protect our organization’s digital assets and promote a culture of security. Requirements

  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Eagerness to learn, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Pursuing a degree in CyberSecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of engaging security awareness campaigns, analyzing and tracking metrics to determine effectiveness of learning initiatives
  • Providing support to the team in the monitoring and triage of security alerts
  • Help track and document compliance with internal policies, assist with preparation for audits and assessments
  • Support in SIEM Management and dashboard creation
  • Implementing controls based on vulnerability and alert findings
