The IT Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the enterprise’s IT financial management functions. The effectiveness of this role is a critical component to ensuring management of our IT budget and maximizing the value of our IT investments, maintaining financial integrity, and transparency. The person will support the development of processes and governance to provide a structured, strategic approach to budgeting, forecasting, prioritization of spend, and reporting for IT financial and cost management. He/she will work closely with ABC Supply’s Chief Information Officer and Director of Enterprise Planning & Analysis to proactively impact the ability to optimize IT spend to have a meaningful and material impact on the mission of the enterprise.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, management or a related field from an accredited four-year college or university is required.
Professional Experience: 5-10 years of financial experience in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Experience driving change and facilitating collaboration.
Key Competencies: Ability to influence without authority and collaborate with internal clients and stakeholders.
Well-versed in approaches that encourage collaboration across disciplines, to take on partners, and to build credibility and influence.
Strong problem-solving ability with a focus on managing business outcomes through collaboration with multiple internal and external parties.
Strong working knowledge of financial concepts, such as return on investment, total cost of ownership and current in understanding GAAP accounting pronouncements as they relate to the technology industry.
Strong organizational, analytical, communication, planning, and presentation skills
Relationship skills that will facilitate collaboration in the development of processes and governance.
Ability to effectively work independently on multiple projects and across teams, functions, and departments.

Responsibilities

Manage and participate in the planning/budgeting and forecasting of both operating and capital spend, ensuring timely reporting and actionable recommendations for future planning considerations.
Forecasting: use historical financial data and current trends to create accurate forecasts for future IT expenses. Provide insights into potential financial challenges and opportunities.
Establish tools to provide standardization of business case analysis and development of metrics to ensure tracking of total cost of ownership and return on investment.
Collaborate with Accounting to ensure compliance with financial regulations, industry standards, and internal process and policies.
Serve as the leadership level point of contact for financial matters between executive management, IT teams, and internal customers consuming IT services and solutions.
Support the CIO in communication of IT financial planning, forecasting and results to the executive team and serve as the point of contact for response or resolution of issues related to IT financial planning.
