About The Position

The IT Help Desk Intern will provide Level I help desk support for desktop workstations, laptops, and peripherals for both local and remote users. This role offers hands‑on exposure to Windows platforms, systems administration fundamentals, user account management, and endpoint support. The intern will learn by assisting and shadowing the Systems Support Specialist, gaining experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting hardware and software. The role also includes a special project to be presented to executive leadership at the conclusion of the internship.

  • Rising Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in Information Technology

Responsibilities

  • Provide Level I help desk support, including ticket intake, incident routing, and escalation when necessary
  • Support local and remote users; travel to remote sites as needed
  • Assist with incident routing and ticket assignment
  • Install, configure, and provide desktop support for Windows OS, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft 365 (Office 365), and Adobe software
  • Support end users through troubleshooting, training, and system guidance
  • Assist with user account setup, access configurations, and permissions
  • Provide basic telecommunications support
  • Assist with hardware inventory management and equipment deployment
  • Perform administrative duties, including correspondence and document management
  • Complete a capstone project focused on the assigned discipline and present findings to stakeholders during the final week of the program
  • Perform additional administrative and project‑based duties as assigned
