About The Position

Under the responsibility of the Director of IT Infrastructure, the IT Infrastructure Architect plays a strategic role in the design, evolution, and governance of the company’s IT infrastructure environments. In a critical manufacturing context, the incumbent acts as a technological reference and architecture leader, ensuring that IT platforms are secure, resilient, and aligned with long‑term business needs. Through their expertise and influence, they ensure consistency in technological decisions across the organization and effectively support the continuity of manufacturing operations. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field relevant to the position, or equivalent experience will be considered.
  • More than 10 years of professional experience in large‑scale enterprise network environments in an engineering, architecture, or technical leadership role.
  • Strong cross‑functional leadership skills, including the ability to influence without direct hierarchical authority and collaborate effectively with Infra, Security, Network, Development, OT/IT, and business teams.
  • Ability to act as a technical reference and mentor senior experts.
  • Extensive experience in designing complex infrastructure architectures (on‑prem, hybrid, cloud).
  • Mastery of networking, security, virtualization, storage, and systems.
  • Strong understanding of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and IaaS / PaaS models.
  • Ability to make sustainable technology choices (scalability, resilience, cost).
  • Demonstrated ability to structure, standardize, and govern complex IT environments.
  • Solid experience in high‑availability and mission‑critical environments.
  • Excellent strategic communication, simplification/technical storytelling, and influence without authority.
  • Experience or significant exposure to manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Systemic vision and ability to make balanced decisions across technology, risk, and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Define the IT vision and reference architectures for all manufacturing and corporate sites (plants, warehouses, offices, data centers, cloud).
  • Be responsible for long-term technology directions, ensuring consistency, sustainability, and standardization of infrastructure choices.
  • Analyze, compare, and decide on target platforms and technologies, taking into account costs, risks, cybersecurity, and the operational capacity of IT teams.
  • Design resilient IT architectures supporting critical manufacturing environments and 24/7 operations.
  • Oversee and validate infrastructure designs produced by internal teams and partners.
  • Assess strategic projects (requirements, capacity, impacts, budgets) and recommend the target architecture.
  • Play a key influencing role with leadership to align IT decisions with business and manufacturing objectives.
  • Align, maintain, and promote the technology roadmap with key stakeholders.
  • Define and maintain corporate IT architecture standards, including: o site classification o approved technologies o architecture models and capability levels
  • Establish and govern naming conventions (sites, servers, equipment, connected devices, documentation).
  • Oversee architecture reviews and approve solutions prior to deployment.
  • Ensure consistency of IT decisions across all projects and regions.
  • Contribute to IT investment decisions and technology transformation plans.
  • Maintain a clear and up‑to‑date architecture repository serving as a guide for IT teams.
