About The Position

The IT Intern’s purpose at Gemini is to effectively support the IT department in maintaining hardware, software, and network systems. This includes actively managing and assisting with requests through the IT ticket board and supporting ongoing IT projects. As a member of the IT team, the IT Intern is a detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative contributor. Location: Rocklin, CA Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm Compensation: $19.23-$21.63 Per Hour

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing an AA, BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (required)
  • Must be in Sophomore year or higher (required)
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Attention to detail and strong documentation habits
  • Customer-service mindset
  • Comfortable supporting and troubleshooting Windows and/or macOS environments
  • Familiar with productivity platforms including Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace
  • Basic knowledge of networking fundamentals, computer hardware, and operating systems

Nice To Haves

  • Previous internship or IT help desk experience preferred but not required
  • CompTIA A+ or similar certification preferred but not required
  • Prior exposure to help desk or ticket management platforms (e.g., Zendesk, Freshservice) is a plus
  • Experience working in an office setting preferred
  • Team player with a positive attitude

Responsibilities

  • Assist in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
  • Provide technical support to end-users via in-person, phone, or remote access
  • Assist in setting up workstations, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
  • Help with software installations and updates
  • Maintain inventory records for IT equipment and software licenses
  • Document IT processes and user guides
  • Support the rollout of new applications or system upgrades
  • Monitor system performance and report anomalies
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of IT work areas
  • Test and evaluate new technology solutions
  • Assist with maintaining access controls and user accounts
  • Participate in IT projects and initiatives as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
