JOB SUMMARY: The IT Intern supports key technology initiatives across the organization, with a primary focus on Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), hardware support, and plant IT operations. This role helps ensure IT continuity, improves system reliability, and contributes to the quality, speed, and effectiveness of application development and other IT-driven projects. The intern will gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment while supporting both technical and operational needs.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Basic coding experience required; Python, HTML, and JavaScript experience preferred.
  • General understanding of computer systems, hardware, and networking fundamentals.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and protocols in manufacturing environments.
  • English proficiency required, with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Python, HTML, and JavaScript experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide MES support, including troubleshooting system issues, Python/HTML development, and label creation.
  • Assist with hardware commissioning and decommissioning, including setup, configuration, and asset tracking.
  • Support MES-related projects such as labeling solutions, warehouse systems, mobile applications, and GUI enhancements.
  • Perform IT support tasks, including computer preparation, workstation setup, and production line support.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and escalate complex problems as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals.
  • Actively contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment, demonstrating flexibility to adapt to evolving business needs and priorities.
