About The Position

The University Co-op offers an internship program to IT degree-seeking students. This internship will offer valuable industry and functional insight into an assigned program area that aligns with your career goals. You will have the opportunity to have a mentor and learn from leaders at the Co-op. The University Co-op Intern role is designed to support the daily operations of a not-for-profit store, gaining hands-on experience in retail and Business technologies, inventory management, customer service, and community engagement.

  • Students must be enrolled at the University of Texas at Austin as a full-time student w a GPA of 2.50.
  • Student must be pursuing a degree in an area which aligns with one of the following departments: Information Systems
  • Must be proficient in Office 365 and other Microsoft products (Azure, Active Directory/Entra)
  • Proficient on supporting Mac and PC
  • Applicable work experience preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours with variable schedules from week-to-week that may include early mornings, days, nights, weekends, gamedays, and holidays.
  • High level of Customer service and take’s pride in their work

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Server-side scripting (Nice to have but not necessary)
  • ERP knowledge a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide front-line IT support and troubleshooting
  • Assist with hardware setup and installation
  • Maintain IT documentation and inventory
  • Support AV and collaboration tools
  • Participates in development of user training programs including manuals by identifying learning needs/trends, recommending instructional change and delivery methods
  • Improves system performance by identifying problems and recommending changes.
