THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE: Ulta Beauty is building a best-in-class Enterprise Data and AI Organization with the goal of creating enterprise value through data, making a significant impact on the company's already rapid growth. The company wants to ensure they are both innovative and rigorous as they build out data capabilities across the enterprise. The IT Manager Enterprise Data Enablement will collaborate with business stakeholders to develop a deep understanding of business needs and strategy, identify priorities, define scope and recommend data and analytic solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals. This role is responsible for the care of Ulta Beauty’s enterprise data and enabling the data for business partners to leverage its value resulting in actionable insights and data products. This role will be responsible for collaborating across the organization on enterprise data/product initiatives and driving from the data side.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, CIS, or equivalent professional experience
  • 7+ years of successful Product Management experience, working with first party customer data, digital, marketing, supply chain, store operation, product, vendor and external.
  • Strong data analytics background with a demonstrated ability to translate business needs into creative and engaging output. Working knowledge of business intelligence/reporting tools such as Power BI and Tableau with related experience analyzing data as well as writing queries and reports
  • Excellent communications skills, both oral and written. Must be able to communicate effectively and confidently with users, team members and management.
  • Experience in working with enterprise scale report and dashboards
  • Experience with democratizing data at enterprise scale and
  • Experience working in Agile model and defining and tracking data value metrics
  • Proficiency in working with conceptual data model, data profiling, visualization, SQL etc.
  • Good understanding of Data Architecture
  • Experience of Product Management in Agile environment
  • Experience with cloud data platform such as GCP/Azure/AWS

Nice To Haves

  • Industry experience in Retail is a huge plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the definition, design and delivery of enterprise data and AI products within Ulta’s Analytics Platform and related applications, reporting directly to the Sr Manager Enterprise Data Enablement
  • Document monitor and revise the following artifacts in support of Data and AI product development: product requirements, process maps, use cases, user acceptance test plans, project plans, and release notes.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining the Data and AI product roadmap which defines product enhancements for short- and long-term releases
  • Work with lines of business across Digital, Merchandising, Marketing, Store Ops, Supply Chain, Finance and HR to identify growth and operational efficiency opportunities which can be solved using Data-as-a-Product
  • Work with the Data Science, Analytics, Report consumer and Data Technology teams to build appropriate data capabilities to meet enterprise business needs
  • Influence the organization to ensure that data is at the forefront of all enterprise initiatives
  • Stay well connected with the retail industry, emerging data trend, and be the voice of innovation using data in the organization
  • Become a trusted advisor and thought leader to our business partners at all levels
  • Responsible for attracting, hiring, training, and developing talent and providing clear, motivating and constructive feedback
  • Manage and prioritize the many requests from all areas of the organization
  • Evangelize the enterprise data and analytics across the company and consult on usage
  • Ensure governance of the enterprise data Ensure the integrity is maintained of the BI (Business Intelligence) models, data and KPIs and systems especially the data through both project deployments and sustained activities. Looks for reusability of models cross functionally.
  • Is a proactive thought leader expected to stay up to date on BI functionality and advancements as well as analytics i.e. machine learning and make recommendations regarding improvements to processes and procedures.
  • Engage and participate in AI initiatives
  • Identifies and maintains Enterprise Data and Analytics KPIs to provide ongoing feedback to the enterprise including IT
