About The Position

At World View we are looking to add a Network Administrator to our growing IT team in Tucson, AZ. The Network Administrator role is to ensure the stable operation of networking equipment so that end users can accomplish business tasks. This includes installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing network hardware, software, and communications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network administration, a working understanding of systems administration, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Network Administrator or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching.
  • Experience with network security practices and technologies.
  • Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong documentation skills including exceptional written and oral communication.
  • Customer service oriented: Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport building, listening, and questioning skills.
  • Troubleshooting and analysis skills for general network and computing issues
  • Ability to interact with staff at all organizational levels
  • Basic understanding of a wide variety of desktop & SaaS applications

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+) are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
  • Maintain network security by implementing and managing firewalls, VPNs, and other security measures.
  • Perform regular network maintenance, updates, and backups.
  • Collaborate with IT team members to support and resolve network-related issues.
  • Document network configurations, changes, and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest network technologies and best practices.
  • Respond and resolve user issues, in a timely manner, via phone, email, chat, or in-person
  • Provide hardware and software support for user workstations and peripherals (as needed)
  • Identify and learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization.
  • Maintain work logs, accurate documentation, and submit weekly activity reports
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor including but not limited to operational functions such as routine backups, system housekeeping, disk storage management and end user PC support.
  • Administer and enforce conformance to all Information Technology Policies, Procedure, Standards and Practices including but not limited to software version control, confidentiality, security, and usage licensing.
