HHIT’s core values are: Do the right thing Be easy to work with Exceed expectations Serve humbly Never stop improving Position Summary: The IT Network Administrator responsibilities include providing outstanding IT support to internal and external customers and maintaining a stable workflow of in-house trouble tickets and IT related projects. This position is an in-person, in-office role.

Requirements

  • Ability to install and maintain computing and networking hardware and software
  • Ability to understand various operating systems from Linux to Windows Server
  • Knowledge of various networking protocols and OSI model/framework
  • Knowledge of networking hardware from network edge to endpoint systems
  • Knowledge of hybrid networking within cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to analyze, configure and repair various hardware platform types
  • Ability to solve networking hardware and software problems
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Team player with leadership ability in networking knowledge/skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Drive to complete project work on time
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field, or equivalent experience/certifications (Network+, CCNA, AWS/Google, etc.)
  • 3+ years of direct networking experience in Information Technology
  • Experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, or comparable brand networking products/platforms
  • Experience with VPN networking – P2P, client, cloud platform
  • Strong Linux, Windows, and network administration skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with micro segmentation a plus
  • Cisco ACI platform and/or VMWare networking a plus
  • Experience within Healthcare Industry preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintains responsibility for the installation, troubleshooting and monitoring of networking hardware and software platforms
  • Conducts network analysis to resolve networking hardware and software issues
  • Maintains consistent network systems performance to deliver high availability
  • Responds or assists in Help Desk requests with a goal of first encounter resolution and prevention
  • Communicates technology related issues in a timely, customer focused and escalation appropriate manner
  • Adherences to SLAs, HITRUST compliance standards, security protocols and internal governance practices
  • Leads root cause analysis for major issues involving networking
  • Assigns and prioritizes tasks on assigned projects
  • Monitors progress to deliver assignments and project objectives on time
  • Acts as a point of escalation for technical and operational issues
  • Participates in on-call rotation
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Responsible for protecting data entrusted to HHIT by customers or other parties through strict adherence to HHIT’s data security and privacy policies and procedures, as well as HIPAA, PIPEDA and all other applicable laws.
