We’re hiring an IT Network Manager at our Corporate Headquarters in Columbia, MO and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to grow with us, bring energy and drive to their work, and help us build the future of construction. The IT Network Manager will manage and mentor staff; design and implement network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, IPS) and services; create automation scripts; proactively identify issues; maintain detailed documentation; perform late-night maintenance/upgrades; test new hardware/firmware; isolate/repair hardware/software faults; manage configurations; develop network usage policies; recommend security improvements; and assist with LAN design/implementation.

Requirements

  • Can clearly communicate with leadership regarding issues, concerns, updates, and planning.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced team environment, exercising sound judgment throughout your day.
  • Demonstrate excellence in communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused/customer-first approach that models exemplary customer service on a daily basis.
  • Knowledge of both Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac hardware.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining a team. This includes mentoring, teaching, and communicating clearly with the team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Networking Technology or a related field, or qualifying experience.
  • Must be a US citizen
  • At least 6 years of network experience, relevant experience in the IT industry
  • At least 4 years of people management experience
  • Must be able to sit at a desk for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds

Nice To Haves

  • Previous hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki security appliances, switches, routers, and access points is preferred.
  • CCNA or other network related certifications are definitely a plus, but not required.
  • Cloud network experience is also a plus, but not required.
  • Comfortable working in an Agile/ITIL environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and mentor a network team
  • Design and implement network devices, including routers and switches, and supporting services such as Firewalls and Intrusion Prevention Systems.
  • Create and manage automation scripts that enhance solution delivery time.
  • Find issues in the network before they become end-user affecting.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation on all deployed solutions.
  • Perform network migrations and upgrades in the 11pm-4am maintenance window.
  • Design and execute tests on new gear as well as validate new firmware releases.
  • Provides hardware and software fault isolation, repairs, installation, upgrades, and configuration management.
  • Implements and maintains configuration and upgrades for routers, switches, and wireless devices.
  • Communicating issues and planning with leadership.
  • Develop and monitor policies for the use of network resources.
  • Evaluate and recommend security improvements.
  • Assists in the design and implementation of new Local Area Networks within new or existing Branches.
  • Additional duties related to the position as assigned.
