About The Position

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Operations Support Associate to provide essential IT support, manage helpdesk operations, and ensure the stability and security of our IT infrastructure. This role is responsible for handling support tickets, monitoring system health, managing user access, and assisting in IT security and documentation. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, knowledge of IT systems, and a commitment to ensuring smooth business operations.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in IT support, system administration, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Familiarity with IT ticketing systems (e.g., osTicket) and monitoring tools (e.g., Lansweeper, Uptime Kuma).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity best practices, firewalls, and endpoint protection.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, Azure) and backup solutions (e.g., DATTO).
  • Knowledge of scripting (PowerShell) and automation tools.
  • Understanding of containerized applications (Docker) and modern IT infrastructure tools.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage IT support tickets, ensuring prompt resolution based on priority and impact.
  • Provide technical assistance to end-users and document resolutions in the ticketing system.
  • Escalate complex issues to software teams or third-party vendors when necessary.
  • Follow up on open tickets to ensure timely resolution and user satisfaction.
  • Perform daily system health checks on servers, networks, and key IT infrastructure components.
  • Manage Active Directory user accounts, security groups, and Group Policy updates.
  • Administer DHCP and DNS settings, including static IP reservations and network configurations.
  • Ensure all workstations and devices comply with IT policies and are updated with necessary patches.
  • Monitor firewall alerts and investigate potential security threats.
  • Ensure endpoint security solutions (e.g., SentinelOne, antivirus) are updated and functioning properly.
  • Manage email security (e.g., Barracuda XDR, Microsoft Exchange Admin Center) to filter phishing and malware threats.
  • Investigate and remediate endpoint security incidents to protect business operations.
  • Utilize IT monitoring tools like Lansweeper and PowerShell scripts to track hardware performance and system vulnerabilities.
  • Monitor internal server and database uptime using Uptime Kuma and respond to alerts.
  • Check Microsoft Admin Center for reported service issues and align internal systems accordingly.
  • Assist in documenting IT policies, processes, and system configurations to maintain operational transparency.
  • Support IT projects such as optimizing the osTicket helpdesk system and researching containerized deployments (Docker).
  • Maintain accurate records of network configurations, IP assignments, and IT asset inventories.
  • Close resolved tickets with proper documentation and user notifications.
  • Conduct a final review of server and network health before the next business day.
  • Identify and prioritize pending tasks for the following workday.
