About The Position

Gastro Health is seeking a Full-Time IT Procurement Specialist to join our team! Gastro Health is a great place to work and advance in your career. This role is responsible for end-to-end IT hardware procurement and lifecycle management, including purchasing, inventory control, vendor coordination, and endpoint deployment. The position supports day-to-day IT operations through asset management, ticketing systems, PC imaging, troubleshooting, and on-site technical support while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations such as HIPAA. The role collaborates closely with IT and business stakeholders to forecast hardware needs, control costs, and improve procurement processes. Success in this position requires strong technical fundamentals, excellent communication and customer service skills, flexibility for travel and after-hours work, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment..

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field or equivalent experience
  • Basic IT experience.
  • Strong knowledge of software related to centralized endpoint management, software patching, software deployment, etc.
  • Work regularly with asset management, procurement, and inventory software and tools (e.g., Odoo, Blue Tally).
  • Travel up to 20% of the time
  • Flexible hours (Afterhours/Weekend work is common and required)

  • Experience working in a healthcare setting is plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process for IT hardware, including desktops, laptops, peripherals, networking equipment, and accessories.
  • Coordinate hardware logistics, including shipping, receiving, inspecting, and returning equipment.
  • Use inventory systems, asset management platforms, and RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management) tools to maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of procurement activities, vendor contacts, and performance metrics.
  • Communicate with vendors to obtain quotes, place orders, track shipments, and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Process and track equipment requests through the company’s ticketing system, ensuring timely updates and resolution.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to understand procurement needs and deliver effective solutions.
  • Monitor market trends and conduct cost-benefit analyses to identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and procurement best practices.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders and management on procurement activities, cost savings, and vendor performance.
  • Assist in ongoing development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures.
  • Perform PC endpoint imaging (cloning), including deployment of drivers and standard company software.
  • Forecast hardware needs in collaboration with IT management to ensure budget alignment.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, run diagnostics, document resolutions, and assess impact.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information processed or stored on the network.
  • Travel on-site for endpoint deployments and provide technical support to users.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
