About the position

As an IT Product Manager for Beef & Pork Data and Analytics, you'll oversee the entire lifecycle of our data products, from inception to launch and beyond. This role requires technical understanding of data ingestion, data engineering, data modeling, and data architecture standards. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, you'll define product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business objectives and market needs. Leveraging your strong analytical skills and customer insights, you'll prioritize features, enhancements, and improvements that deliver maximum value to our users and drive business outcomes. You'll serve as stakeholders' primary point of contact, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the product development process. With a focus on innovation and continuous improvement, you'll monitor market trends, gather user feedback, and iterate on product features to enhance the user experience and maintain a competitive edge in the market. As a strategic leader in product management, you'll play a crucial role in driving our products' success and the organization's overall growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy aligned with business objectives and market needs.
  • Define and prioritize features, enhancements, and improvements based on market research, user feedback, and competitive analysis.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer support, to drive product development and delivery.
  • Serve as stakeholders' primary point of contact, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Work closely with stakeholders, including customers, sales, marketing, and engineering teams, to gather and prioritize product requirements.
  • Monitor market trends, gather competitive intelligence, and analyze user behavior to identify opportunities for innovation and growth.
  • Advocate for exceptional user experiences, working closely with design and engineering teams to prioritize usability and accessibility improvements.
  • Lead the successful launch of new products and features, coordinating launch activities, preparing go-to-production plans, and ensuring smooth execution.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure product performance and success, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, iterating on product features and processes based on user feedback, data insights, and market dynamics.
  • Collaborate with product management peers and other stakeholders to share knowledge, best practices, and lessons learned.
  • Act as a passionate customer advocate, representing their needs and interests in product decisions and initiatives.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks and dependencies impacting product delivery or performance.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in product management, sharing insights and knowledge with the broader organization.
  • Drive measurable business impact through product innovation, revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and market share expansion.
  • Perform other assigned job-related duties that align with our organization's vision, mission, and values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant and practical experience with data ingestion, data engineering, data modeling, and data architecture standards.

Nice-to-haves

  • Any relevant IT Certification.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile Product & Waterfall methodology.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (Clarity, MS Projects, Jira, etc.).
  • Understanding of software/product development lifecycle.
  • Effective communication, able to present to senior leadership.

  • Analytical skills for diagnosing and solving issues.
