About The Position

Fink's Jewelers is seeking a versatile, hands-on IT Professional to support our Microsoft hybrid environment, Cisco Meraki networking, Spiceworks ticketing system, and a primarily Windows-based user base. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys broad responsibility, technical variety, and direct ownership of IT systems and processes. This is a full-time, on-site position based at our Home Office on Electric Road in Roanoke, Virginia, with occasional travel to company locations as needed.

Requirements

  • Understanding of Windows systems, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Azure AD.
  • Familiarity with Cisco Meraki networking equipment or the ability to learn quickly.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, networking, and identity systems.
  • Strong communication and documentation habits.
  • Ability and willingness to travel when required.
  • Willingness to learn and support our ERP system.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with cloud-based ERP platforms or business system administration.
  • Experience with Spiceworks or similar ticketing systems.
  • Certifications such as Network+, Security+, Microsoft Azure Administrator, or Cisco CCNA.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, servers, and system tools.
  • Manage on-prem Active Directory and Azure AD, including user accounts, security groups, group policies, and synchronization.
  • Support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Provide support for a primarily Windows environment with occasional macOS support.
  • Administer Meraki MX firewalls, MS switches, and MR wireless access points.
  • Monitor network performance and client activity using the Meraki Dashboard.
  • Manage VLANs, DHCP scopes, firewall rules, VPN, and wireless configurations.
  • Implement and maintain MFA, patch management, endpoint protection, and access controls.
  • Ensure backup systems function correctly and perform periodic restore tests.
  • Monitor and respond to potential system and network security threats.
  • Provide Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 support depending on the issue.
  • Create and maintain Spiceworks tickets for all support requests, including phone and email inquiries.
  • Document recurring issues and recommend long-term solutions.
  • Learn and support our ERP system, including basic troubleshooting, user access, and coordination with internal teams or vendors. Our environment uses NetSuite; training will be provided.
  • Actively participate in the deployment, configuration, and ongoing support of AI-driven Agents once implemented.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to test, validate, and refine AI Agent workflows to ensure they support business processes effectively.
  • Assist with integrating AI-enabled tools into daily operations, including identity controls, data access, workflow connections, and system interoperability.
  • Monitor AI Agent performance and escalate issues or improvement opportunities to leadership or development partners.
  • Support end users in understanding how to properly interact with AI-enabled tools and workflows.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation for network diagrams, system configurations, onboarding/offboarding, and internal processes.
  • Travel to company locations as needed for system support, deployments, upgrades, or on-site troubleshooting.
