About The Position

The IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing cloud assessment, migration, DevSecOps, and cybersecurity activities in support of Air Force Business Enterprise Systems (BES). This role serves as the primary delivery manager for assigned Capability Delivery Teams (CDTs), ensuring work is executed on schedule, within scope, and aligned to Agile delivery velocity, cybersecurity requirements, and Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract constraints. The IT Project Manager operates within an Agile and DevSecOps environment, coordinating technical, cybersecurity, and stakeholder activities to ensure uninterrupted mission operations, continuous authorization, and predictable delivery outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field is strongly desired.
  • Must have 6+ years of experience managing IT projects or programs supporting federal or DoD customers.
  • 3+ years of experience managing Agile or hybrid Agile/Waterfall delivery teams.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting cloud-based or enterprise IT systems.
  • Experience coordinating cybersecurity and RMF-related activities within delivery teams.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps concepts, CI/CD pipelines, and release governance.
  • Active Secret clearance required
  • Must be a US Citizen.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP), PMI-ACP, or equivalent certification.
  • Experience supporting Air Force or DoD Business Enterprise Systems.
  • Experience working within Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contracts.
  • Familiarity with Cloud One, GovCloud environments, or Zero Trust architectures.
  • Experience using delivery and tracking tools such as Jira, GitLab, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate IT, cloud, DevSecOps, and cybersecurity activities in accordance with task order requirements.
  • Manage execution within Agile frameworks, including sprint planning, daily scrums, retrospectives, and release planning.
  • Coordinate work across cloud engineers, DevSecOps engineers, cybersecurity personnel (ISSM, ISSO, ISSE, SCAR), and mission stakeholders.
  • Track cost, schedule, scope, and risk performance under FFP constraints.
  • Ensure alignment to BES priorities, Cloud One standards, and Zero Trust principles.
  • Maintain delivery transparency through dashboards, status reports, and milestone tracking.
  • Support backlog prioritization, dependency management, and risk mitigation.
  • Ensure required documentation, artifacts, and deliverables meet contract and Government acceptance criteria.
  • Support inspection readiness, audits, and leadership briefings as required.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between technical teams and Government stakeholders for assigned efforts.
