About The Position

GovCIO is currently hiring an IT Project Manager for our Zero Trust integration effort with the US Air Force. This position will be located in Hampton, VA and will be a full-time on-site position. Responsibilities As an IT Project Manager at GovCIO, you will lead our Zero Trust enterprise integration efforts in support of Headquarters Air Combat Command (HQ ACC/A2) at Joint Base Langley-Eustis. You will provide leadership on IT hardware and software projects throughout all phases of the system development life cycle including initiating, planning, executing, and closing projects with minimal supervision. Translate business requirements into actionable tasks, ensuring proposed solutions meet customer needs and achieve acceptance. Manage multiple IT projects concurrently within a deadline-driven environment while fostering strong client relationships and negotiating Service Level Agreements. Utilize PMI project management certifications and best practice methodologies to ensure project success.

Requirements

  • High School with 6 - 9 years (or commensurate experience)
  • Clearance Required: TS/SCI
  • Comprehensive understanding of IT project management roles, with the ability to develop solutions for medium complexity technical challenges.
  • Understanding of data center environments and equipment, along with the ability to communicate effectively with IT professionals.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project and Excel, with a track record of creating and maintaining project management standards and documentation.
  • Experience in delivering presentations and briefings related to project progress to clients and management.

Nice To Haves

  • Active PMP Certification
  • Experience working with the DoD Intelligence Community
  • Experience with DoD NIPR, SIPR and JWICS Networks
  • Background in technical writing, capable of producing project plans, functional requirements, and detailed schedules.
  • Experience with Zero Trust Fundamentals
