This position is located at the Firm's global operations center in Tampa. Description: We are seeking an IT Regional Trainer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and contribute to the growth and success of our Firm. The IT Regional Trainer creates and implements technology learning initiatives through classroom, remote, and individual instruction. They train office-wide and Firm-wide users on various general and legal-specific technology applications. They also participate in Firm-wide IT projects for testing, documenting, and deploying new technology, and provide software support as needed.

  • Excellent technical coaching and counseling skills with the ability to effectively influence others to take action and achieve objectives.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess training effectiveness and implement improvements.
  • Proficiency in designing and developing online learning modules.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5+ years of corporate training experience to include classroom, and E-Learning.
  • Thorough knowledge of desktop productivity software and groupware products.
  • Expert level proficiency with MS Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of legal industry specific software preferred (i.e. Document Management System).
  • Ability to learn such software, as well as software developed in house required.
  • Expertise in using learning management systems and other educational technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver training programs, including development, promotion, delivery, implementation, and evaluation for New Hire and other IT Training programs offered at the Firm.
  • Collaborate with IT staff and key administrative and legal leaders to identify end-user training priorities and strategies.
  • Utilize a learning management system to perform administrative tasks associated with training: schedule classes/courses, maintain attendance registration and records, analyze the effectiveness of training, and gather student feedback.
  • Develop comprehensive training plans and produce course materials.
  • Manage classes by motivating participants, maintaining control of the class environment, and directing the learning of participants to achieve program objectives.
  • Serve on project teams for rollouts of new technology and upgrades, which includes evaluating, testing, and marketing.
  • Contribute to the development of instructional and participant materials, including objectives, training documentation, visual aids, testing, training instruments, and course handouts.
  • Provide feedback regarding effectiveness and ease of use.
  • Design and develop online learning modules to support instructor-led programs or other initiatives within IT.
  • Provide end-user support services for software-related inquiries as appropriate.
  • Prepare activity and progress reports concerning training and project activities.
  • Special projects and duties as assigned.
