Role Summary: The Scrum Master supports one or more Agile teams by facilitating Scrum ceremonies, enabling effective delivery, and helping teams continuously improve how they work. This role partners with Product Owners, Engineering, and stakeholders to promote transparency, remove impediments, and foster predictable, sustainable delivery.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or in an Agile delivery role
  • Hands-on experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies
  • Working knowledge of Scrum and Agile principles
  • Experience supporting cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, QA, etc.)
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience using Agile delivery tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar

Nice To Haves

  • Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I, or equivalent)
  • Experience working with multiple teams or shared services teams
  • Familiarity with Kanban or hybrid Agile models

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate core Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Ensure ceremonies are focused, time-boxed, and aligned to Scrum best practices.
  • Support the team in understanding and applying Agile principles and practices.
  • Identify, track, and help remove impediments impacting team delivery.
  • Proactively surface risks, blockers, and dependencies that may affect sprint commitments.
  • Partner with the Product Owner and Engineering to support healthy flow of work.
  • Support sprint execution by reinforcing commitments and sprint goals.
  • Monitor basic delivery metrics (e.g., sprint completion, throughput, carryover) to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Encourage predictable delivery and sustainable pace.
  • Partner closely with the Product Owner to support backlog readiness and planning activities.
  • Facilitate communication within the team and across dependent teams as needed.
  • Provide clear status, risks, and observations to stakeholders and leadership when appropriate.
  • Facilitate retrospectives focused on actionable improvements.
  • Coach team members on Agile roles, responsibilities, and collaboration.
  • Support adoption of team working agreements and continuous improvement actions.
