About The Position

The IT Operations Site Lead position is responsible for all IT operations at the manufacturing site. This role leads infrastructure, systems and end-user support while ensuring reliable, secure, and compliant IT services. The position partners closely with site leadership, global IT, and Cybersecurity teams to support daily operations, deliver improvement initiatives, and drive continuous improvement through technology.

Requirements

  • 5+ Years experience working in IT Operations or Infrastructure, with a focus on systems administration and/or site support.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology.
  • Working knowledge of IT infrastructure including Windows, Networking, VoIP, and Storage technologies.
  • Experience with virtual platforms (VSAN).
  • Experience working with Azure and O365 administration.
  • Proficient in IT Security and Compliance.
  • Familiarity with ITIL fundamentals.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical topics in clear, non-technical language.
  • Self-motivated, well-organized, and able to work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong customer service mindset and ability to partner with the business.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%, as needed, to support other Crane sites

Responsibilities

  • Lead site IT infrastructure operations, including system monitoring, dashboards, and KPIs.
  • Manage and resolve IT issues with a strong focus on customer service, SLAs, and business continuity.
  • Provide remote IT support for other Cryogenics sites as needed.
  • Manage Azure cloud environment and support Microsoft O365 administration.
  • Manage ERP provisioning/deprovisioning tasks, promote changes, and direct communication with support teams.
  • Ensure IT compliance (SOX and CMMC 2.0 for Infrastructure and ERP), including monthly controls and yearly audits.
  • Support remediation of IT security vulnerabilities and partner with Cybersecurity on training and awareness.
  • Act as a trusted IT advisor to site leadership, recommending solutions aligned with global IT standards.
  • Maintain software licensing compliance through regular audits with the global IT team.
  • Maintain Camera System and Door Access control system
  • Deliver IT projects using waterfall and agile methodologies in collaboration with business teams.
  • Establish and maintain secure IT asset management processes and tools.
  • Drive lean process improvements to increase efficiency and meet organizational goals.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to resolve IT issues quickly and professionally.
  • Develop detailed project requirements and specifications by identifying project milestones, resources and budget and drive improvements through to completion.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports to leadership on IT initiatives, backlogs, and improvement progress.
  • Serve as the primary IT representative in daily operations meetings.
  • Adopt a “Go to Gemba” mindset to observe, understand and improve work processes.
  • Create and maintain standard work documentation for IT processes and controls.
  • Follow ITIL-based support and administration practices.
  • Track and manage support tickets using Freshworks.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.
