About The Position

The Sitecore Developer reports to the Director of Software Development and is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining solutions built on the Sitecore Experience Platform. This role supports the creation and enhancement of MAA’s web presence and related systems, working collaboratively with internal IT teams to ensure high performance, scalability, and maintainability of Sitecore-based applications and integrations. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field of study and/or three (3) or more years of web development experience required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Sitecore and C# development experience with the .NET Framework and Microsoft SQL Server required

Nice To Haves

• Sitecore Developer Certification (e.g., Sitecore XP Developer 10)
• Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (e.g., Vue.js, Angular, or Next.js)
• Experience with Sitecore XM Cloud (XMC) or headless Sitecore development
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps for source control, CI/CD pipelines, and release management
• Depth and breadth of knowledge of Sitecore architecture, content management, and personalization features
• Proficient skills with .NET development with C# in a Sitecore context
• Knowledge and expertise with REST/SOAP APIs and system integrations
• Knowledge, skill, and ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Troubleshooting and and problem-solving skills to resolve performance and configuration issues in web applications
• Skill and ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains Sitecore components, templates, layouts, and workflows to support MAA’s web applications
• Analyzes business requirements provided by project leads or business analysts then works to translate those into technical requirements with minimal assistance from solution architects
• Extends and customizes Sitecore functionality using C# and .NET best practices
• Ensures consistent quality and performance of Sitecore solutions across environments
• Supports integrations between Sitecore and other internal/external systems and APIs
• Participates in code reviews and contributes to technical documentation and knowledge sharing
• Identifies and troubleshoots technical issues related to Sitecore and web application performance
• Performs other duties as assigned to support the success of the team and business
