What This Role Is All About As an IT Specialist at Johnson RV, you’ll be the go-to resource for technical needs across all departments. From troubleshooting workstations to keeping our network healthy to managing user accounts, you’ll help ensure every team member has the tools they need to do their best work. This is a hands-on, multi-faceted position where your contributions are visible every day.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field — or solid equivalent experience
  • 2–5 years of technical support experience, preferably in a multi-department or dealership environment
  • Strong understanding of: Microsoft 365 administration; Windows operating systems and hardware troubleshooting; Networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP)
  • Excellent customer service approach, with the ability to communicate clearly with non-technical users

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with dealership ERPs such as IDS Astra G2
  • Understanding of sales, service, parts, or accounting workflows within a dealership setting

Responsibilities

  • Respond to technical requests from sales, service, parts, accounting, HR, and other departments
  • Solve issues involving Windows systems, workstations, peripherals, and dealership devices
  • Provide practical, patient help to employees with varying levels of technical comfort
  • Administer Microsoft 365 accounts, permissions, and user setup
  • Maintain and support dealership hardware such as printers, scanners, servers, and POS equipment
  • Handle software and system updates, patching, and general lifecycle maintenance
  • Troubleshoot LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN issues that impact day-to-day operations
  • Support connectivity for ERP platforms, manufacturer systems, and vendor portals
  • Monitor and help maintain a reliable, stable network environment
  • Track assets, update documentation, and maintain SOPs
  • Assist with backups, cybersecurity processes, and disaster-recovery tasks
  • Follow data protection policies and uphold IT security best practices
