About The Position

This is an opportunity to join a growing, people-focused IT team at a time of meaningful change across our business. As an IT Support Analyst, you’ll play a key role in supporting our corporate staff in Houston while also providing remote support to our property teams across our multi-family portfolio. Based full-time in our Houston corporate office, you’ll work closely and in person with colleagues across the organization, building strong relationships and becoming a trusted point of contact for day-to-day technology needs. At the same time, you’ll collaborate with a distributed IT Support team, including an IT Support Manager based in Toronto and two existing Support Analyst, gaining exposure to a wide range of systems, users, and environments. We’re adding this role not only to support our continued headcount growth, but also to strengthen how we deliver IT support — moving toward a more proactive, service-oriented approach. This role is primarily aligned to standard business hours; however, there may be rare occasions where responsiveness is required outside of those hours to address critical system incidents. These situations are expected to be infrequent and limited in scope.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an I.T. helpdesk role
  • Excellent problem-solving skills in a Windows-based environment
  • Experience managing objects in Microsoft Active Directory and Entra ID
  • Experience in managing Office 365, Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams
  • Familiarity with Atlassian products, including Jira, Jira Service Management, and Confluence
  • Basic networking experience troubleshooting connectivity issues, including internet access problems, WiFi connection issues, and VPN connectivity/support
  • Device management using Microsoft Intune, including managing device profiles, configuration and compliance policies, and application deployments
  • Excellent customer service skills, being able to empathize with end-users
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Incident management: Monitor the IT helpdesk and resolve incidents involving devices, cloud services (e.g. Office 365), communication/collaboration tools, Wi-Fi, user accounts, email, etc. Provide progress updates for users and give good customer service. Working with other groups to find solutions.
  • Providing ticket management using Jira Service Management. We have defined SLAs for first response and time to start working. All work must be tracked inside Jira Service Management.
  • Creating documentation for Internal processes and our customer-facing knowledge.
  • Procurement management: Purchase devices and ensure they are shipped to employees in a timely manner. Manage device roll-outs as we acquire new properties or evergreen existing devices. Maintain the asset register so we know what devices are in what locations and used by which users.
  • Request management: Implement IT requests received through the IT helpdesk such as granting access to folders, adding users to AD groups.
  • License management: Manage our software licenses, ensuring software licenses are accounted for and assigned to the appropriate users.
  • Executive support: Provide personal IT support to our top-tier executives.
