About The Position

As an IT Support Specialist, you will be a core member of our technical support team, responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of our organization’s IT systems. Your role encompasses providing hands-on support to end-users, maintaining, and optimizing hardware and software environments, and actively contributing to the overall efficiency and security of our IT infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years of direct, relevant experience in IT support role
  • Strong communication, customer service, and documentation skills
  • Experience and knowledge with supporting Microsoft systems/devices, Apple devices, and laboratory device/computer.
  • Experience with system remote management products, deployment tools, security suites, and ticketing system.
  • Ability to execute an incident, request, and project from start to completion.
  • Detail organized and deadline driven with the ability to track multiple incidents, requests, and projects simultaneously and prioritize accordingly.
  • Excellent teamwork and ability to work unsupervised.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to IT support tickets/calls, offering effective solutions to hardware and software.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues, utilizing remote assistance tools or providing onsite support when necessary.
  • Escalate complex problems to more engineer / management, maintaining clear communication throughout the resolution process.
  • Install, configure, and deploy computer systems, peripherals, and software applications. Perform routine maintenance, updates, and patches.
  • Ensuring routine backups are completed for desktop and laptop.
  • Replace equipment that has an expired warranty.
  • Assist and maintain asset management / inventory.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for IT processes, configurations, and resolution. Keep documentation up to date with changes in system configurations and procedures.
  • Train end users on new devices and technologies.
