About The Position

As a Systems Administrator at Executech, you will manage and maintain IT infrastructure and systems across multiple client environments. You will ensure the smooth operation, security, and efficiency of client networks and computing environments while serving as a trusted technical advisor. This role blends hands-on engineering with client-facing communication and requires regular remote and travel to client sites.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of combined IT systems administration and network engineering experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2016–2025, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
  • Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization platforms.
  • Solid firewall, routing, and switching knowledge and hands-on experience.
  • Proficiency with network troubleshooting tools, methodologies, and topologies.
  • Knowledge of office technology including multi-function printers, VoIP systems, and conference room AV equipment.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation with a professional, approachable demeanor.
  • Demonstrated sound professional judgment and ability to mentor and guide others.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, shift focus throughout the day, and maintain strong attention to detail.
  • Self-reliant and self-directed; able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to handle stress and pressure consistent with the demands of client-facing IT services.

  • Microsoft 365 administration, including SharePoint, Teams, Intune, and Autopilot.
  • Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) for identity management, conditional access, and endpoint management.
  • Enterprise security platforms and firewalls (Sophos, SonicWall, Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto, Meraki).
  • Backup and disaster recovery solutions (Veeam, Datto, Acronis) with experience designing and validating recovery plans.
  • PowerShell scripting and automation for M365, Active Directory, and Azure administration.
  • Industry certifications such as Microsoft (AZ-104, MS-102, AZ-900, SC-900), CompTIA (Network+, Security+), or vendor-specific (Fortinet NSE, Cisco CCNA, etc.).
  • Experience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or multi-client environment.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to client locations throughout the greater Seattle area to perform onsite infrastructure work on servers, networks, and endpoint systems.
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain servers, networks, firewalls, switches, wireless networks, and cloud services.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and cloud service issues across diverse client environments.
  • Perform verified backups of client data prior to all changes, ensuring rollback capability and data integrity throughout service engagements.
  • Install, replace, and repair hardware and software components as required.
  • Plan, scope, and execute technology projects—including server migrations, network upgrades, and cloud deployments—in coordination with the Professional Services team.
  • Evaluate new products, services, and emerging technologies; recommend enhancements to management.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 escalation-level technical support to clients via phone, email, Microsoft Teams, and the ticketing system.
  • Communicate proactively with client contacts to set expectations, make collaborative decisions, and ensure satisfaction.
  • Recommend infrastructure upgrades and optimizations to the Technology Alignment Manager and Professional Services Engineer to improve system performance and client experience.
  • Work proactively to identify and implement technology improvements for clients.
  • Assist the service desk in resolving escalated tickets efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of client environments, configurations, and procedures to ensure continuity and efficiency across the team.
  • Develop and maintain troubleshooting runbooks, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base articles.
  • Support client onboarding and offboarding processes, including system provisioning, documentation, and license management.
  • Promptly and accurately enter time into timesheets and tickets, using clear, non-technical language for all client-facing documentation.
  • Represent Executech professionally in all client interactions, communications, and onsite engagements, reinforcing trust and confidence.
  • Mentor and guide junior Executech staff, sharing knowledge and fostering professional growth across the team.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or otherwise identified.
