The Systems Engineer III independently designs, develops, and supports system and data integrations that facilitate critical business operations. In this mid-level role, you'll apply integration expertise to streamline workflows, improve data exchange, and support cross-functional initiatives using APIs and integration platforms. Together, we are committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences and eliminating shipping friction for both employees and customers. Designs and leads the implementation of complex infrastructure solutions across multiple platforms or domains, ensuring performance, scalability, and alignment with enterprise architecture. Oversees documentation standards and ensures consistency across teams for infrastructure configurations, changes, and operational procedures to support knowledge sharing and compliance with Estes standards. Drives strategic performance and capacity planning initiatives, including forecasting, optimization, and lifecycle management across enterprise systems. Leads root cause analysis for high-impact incidents, implementing long-term corrective actions and contributing to systemic reliability improvements. Champions continuous improvement by designing and implementing scalable, efficient, and secure operational processes that reduce complexity and manual effort. Designs and maintains enterprise-grade automation frameworks and tools to support infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment. Serves as a technical lead for large-scale infrastructure projects, coordinating across teams and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and alignment with business goals. Leads disaster recovery strategy development and execution, ensuring business continuity readiness and alignment with compliance requirements. Implements observability solutions, including monitoring, logging, and alerting, to improve system visibility and support proactive incident response. Participates in vendor evaluations and contributes to the integration of third-party infrastructure tools and platforms. Participates in an on-call rotation and acts as a senior escalation point for critical incidents, ensuring rapid response and resolution. Ability to travel as needed to support cross-functional initiatives, vendor engagements, and infrastructure deployments. Owns professional growth by actively pursuing learning opportunities, staying current with emerging technologies, and contributing to the evolution of engineering practices. Embeds quality, security, and simplicity into every stage of infrastructure delivery, ensuring resilient, reliable, and trusted outcomes across platforms and processes. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background required
  • 4 or more years of relevant prior IT systems experience required. 6 or more years preferred.
  • Performs work under minimal supervision required.
  • Handles complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff required.
  • Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter required.
  • Possesses solid working knowledge of relevant systems engineering concepts and practices.
  • Prior experience leading, coaching, and/or mentoring others required.
  • Must be able to comply with all company policies, rules, procedures and Code of Conduct
  • Must be able to interact well with others
  • Must be able to work independently, or in a team setting
  • Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high volume environment with multiple priorities
  • Responds well to questions; Ability to read, interpret and comply with written information and documents such as safety rules, operations / procedure manuals and maintenance instructions with a high comprehension and concentration level to include the ability to meet deadlines
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, random drug and/or alcohol tests, and will be subject to a criminal history background check
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
