About The Position

Allina Health is seeking a visionary Senior IT Technical Architect to serve as the enterprise-wide authority for systems integration, AI enablement, and custom application interoperability. In this high-impact role, you will bridge the gap between complex clinical requirements and cutting-edge technical execution, designing the interoperability frameworks that power the future of healthcare delivery. Reporting to the Director of Enterprise Architecture, you will not only lead the design of sophisticated data and API architectures but also drive the internal technical capability needed to reduce vendor dependency and accelerate innovation. Key Position Details: Position located in Minnesota A regular full-time opportunity with a hybrid work model This is a unique opportunity for a strategic architect to own the 'gold standard' for technology at Allina. You will lead the Application Portfolio Management (APM) program and develop the Technology Reference Models (TRMs) that define our architectural future. From delivering high-value 'quick win' AI use cases to architecting complex Epic-integrated solutions and modern SaaS ecosystems, you will be the primary design authority shaping a resilient, intelligent, and highly integrated healthcare enterprise. 1.0 FTE (80 hours per two-week pay period) 8-hour day shifts No weekends

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, strategy development and technology governance
  • 5+ years of solutioning experience evaluating scenarios and alternatives for large, complex, Enterprise solutions
  • 3+ years of experience communicating and influencing senior leadership on strategy and directions

Responsibilities

  • Develops and publishes technology strategies, architectures, standards and roadmaps for major technology domains, collaborating with other architects and engineers to ensure consistent understanding and usage across the organization.
  • Promotes shared services and solutions to reduce costs and increase consistency and stability.
  • Leads solution and technology delivery for complex initiatives, ensuring engineering and operations teams are aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Recommends process and technology improvements to enable teams to meet stability and performance goals.
  • Interacts collaboratively within the community of architects and engineers to develop common standards and understanding and adherence to them.
  • Provides mentorship to technical engineers and analysts on technology roadmaps and strategies.
  • Influences and informs senior leadership and project management stakeholders, ensuring stakeholders are up-to-date on the status of major initiatives and updates to technology status and roadmaps.
  • Monitors and communicates external trends in technology and business capabilities and integrate into internal strategies and standards (ex. Cloud hosting, mobility, big data, etc.)
