Position Summary: The Pharmacist Application Analyst I works under the direction of the senior team members to design, build and test pharmacy systems. The Analyst will obtain Designated Application Certification. The Analyst learns and applies workflow analysis, design, and build sessions with Subject Matter Experts (physicians, nursing, and other ancillary services personnel) and instructional designers. The Analyst learns to perform critical advisory work in the development and implementation of pharmacy related functionality (i.e. medication configuration, decision support, etc.); identifies and mitigates all issues that arise during the project for their application(s); and are familiar with policies, procedures and constraints of pharmacy workflows. They learn to complete in depth and precise discovery and documentation of operational specifications and application functionality to deliver on expected outcomes. They learn how to troubleshoot problems and questions from end users during validation, training, go-live, and optimization periods. Successful candidates enjoy helping other users learn and adopt usage of the application. They will learn to work closely with internal applications, system vendors, consultants, and technical services to ensure product development, implementation, and enhancements that meet user specifications.
