About The Position

Tessera is seeking a hard-working and helpful Janitor with a positive attitude. Typical duties include but are not limited to: Restroom Cleaning – sanitize and clean all toilets, urinals, sinks, fixtures, partitions, walls, and doors. Restock supplies. Collect trash and replace liners. Sweep and mop the floor. Follow cross-contamination procedures. Office Cleaning – sweep, mop, vacuum according to schedule. Spot entry doors. Clean halls and high traffic areas – sweep, mop, vacuum, buff, and clean carpet according to schedule. Clean entrances and exits – sweep, mop, vacuum according to schedule. Trash – empty trash in lunchrooms, coffee areas, restrooms, and shower/locker areas daily. Office area trash according to schedule. Restock supplies – restock supplies daily. Dusting – dust in lunch/coffee areas, restrooms, shower/locker areas, and dust-free areas only. Clean stairwells – sweep, mop, vacuum, wipe handrails according to schedule. Clean showers – clean all shower stalls, damp wipe for dust, restock supplies, mop floors following cross-contamination procedures. Maintain Janitor Closets – clean and organize. Clean and rinse all equipment before storing. Clean ice machines. Change light bulbs and clean lamp receptacles. Change privacy and shower curtains. Wet/Dry mopping – wet/dry mop each floor according to schedule. Sweeping – sweep each area according to schedule. Communicating with customers – always be courteous and communicate in a professional manner when talking with customers. Must be able to work up to a 40-hour work week.

Requirements

  • Six (6) months janitorial experience preferred.
  • Must be able to work in a team and independently.
  • A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
  • A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
  • Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or an acceptable alternative, such as a U.S. passport or military ID, in accordance with the REAL ID Act.
  • Per our government contract, 2.7.2.6, “No employee or representative of the Contractor will be admitted to the site of work unless satisfactory proof of U.S. citizenship is furnished.”
