About The Position

The warehouse janitor maintains a clean and orderly workplace in all offices, sanitary facilities, break room, and warehouse in a warehouse environment.

Requirements

Be able to read and write at a basic level.
Basic math skills required.
Must be able to lift 30 pounds
Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift
Ability to effectively perform a job requiring consistent, repetitive motion, bending, twisting, reaching, and lifting.
Must wear anti-slippery, steel-toe shoes, gloves, and a safety vest.
Sanitary or break room facilities should not interfere with operations' schedule.
Must be able to concentrate on their tasks and follow written and verbal directions.
Strong attention to detail.
Must have strong organizational skills.
Must have the ability to understand and communicate information is also essential.
Becomes personally accountable for highest quality and integrity standards of behavior, honesty and fairness in all aspects of the job.

Responsibilities

Sweeping
Mopping
Dusting racks
Building maintenance
Empty trash
Clean restrooms
Clean interior glass
Dust lockers, vents and common areas
Maintains and reports inventory levels of all cleaning supplies minimizing waste
Notifies immediate supervisor concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting
Complies and enforces all safety rules.
Reports any unsafe conditions and/or practice to his/her immediate supervisor.
Complies with the company’s food safety, food quality and food defense systems.
Complies with all safety, health, and environmental company policies and procedures.
Reports any work-related injuries to immediate supervisor.
Carries proper employee identification when in company’s premises.
Vehicle parking permit visible when in company’s premises.
Uses safety shoes (non-slip and steel-toe)
Utilize appropriate PPE
Other duties can be assigned based on the needs of the company.
