About The Position

This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the facility. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinate and prioritize job duties with Maintenance Supervisor and Shift Supervisors. Clean, sanitize, and stock as needed in all common areas of the entire plant, including but not limited to: Restrooms Breakroom and break areas Conference and meeting rooms Office and lobby areas All desk areas on the production floor Walkways and non-departmental specific areas Common area trash and recycling collection receptacles Perform required preventative maintenance and deep cleaning on equipment such as water fountains, ice machines, and refrigerators. Maintain inventory for cleaning, restroom, and other supplies, reporting any need to supervisor. Use work methods that reflect a safe work environment/condition for self and fellow employees. Work independently to accomplish priorities and adjust priorities to meet unexpected work requests by the distribution center departments. Maintain a clean, neat and organized work area. Be actively involved in proactive measures towards safety for self and coworkers. Support all BBS and Lean initiatives. Other job activities as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Effective communication skills: including the ability to get information from others about sanitation issues in an appropriate manner and the ability to effectively provide information to others about equipment problems.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and work instructions or procedure manuals.
Math skills used add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals and to compute rate, ratio and percentage.
Critical thinking skills necessary to solve practical problems.
In addition to all basic cleaning equipment, operation of the floor sweeper is required.
Cut proof gloves as required.
Safety Harness as required.
